With a little coaching I believe everyone can grow a successful garden.

Hello!

My name is Rich Quintana. I am a garden coach and consultant. Growing up in my grandma’s 1/3 acre home in Northern California, I learned the art of caring for & growing beautiful gardens. My first job was with an independent nursery where I stayed for 15 years honing my skills under the tutilage of amazing owners. The inspiration of their legacy & the knowledge they passed on to me has unearthed a profound passion for creating amazing gardens and teaching others to grow their own gardens. Over the past 40 years, I have helped people transform spaces into thriving flower, vegetable, or water gardens. Utilizing what I have learned, my garden designs are the perfect marriage of form & function.

My goal is to create something that you love that will beautify not only your yard, but also your life. It doesn’t matter if you have giant yard, or a small balcony, I will either design an oasis for you to enjoy, or guide you through creating your own.!

Sunflower Garden Coaching is named in honor of my Mom who passed away in December of 2019. She was an amazing water color artist. One of my favorite paitings is one that she did of the sunflowers which I used in my logo.

I am here to help dispel the myth of the black thumb. With a little coaching I believe everyone can grow a successful garden.

“Rich is my go-to guy for all my gardening questions, no matter how random. Whether it’s '“why is my plant looking so pitiful?” or “I saw this, while out walking... what the heck IS it?” or even “how do I get the ladybugs to stay in my yard?!?” he always has the answer. Rich’s store of plant knowledge is extensive, and his love of nature and excitement about unique plants is infectious... He is also extremely responsive and personable... Give him a call. You won’t be sorry!”
